1) INFORMATION WE COLLECT
A) Information you provide
- Username (nickname) you choose inside the app.
B) Information generated by gameplay
- Game scores, rankings, and gameplay-related events needed to display leaderboards.
C) Device / technical identifiers
- An anonymous player identifier (UUID) generated by the app.
- Basic technical data that may be processed by our services and third-party partners (e.g., IP address, device identifiers, diagnostics) for security, performance, and ads.
2) HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information to:
- Display global leaderboards and prevent username collisions.
- Maintain and secure the service (e.g., preventing spam or abuse).
- Improve performance and reliability (bug fixing, diagnostics).
- Show ads (if enabled) and measure ad performance.
3) ADS AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES (IMPORTANT)
The app may display advertisements and use third-party services depending on the platform you are using.
On Android devices, the app may use:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads
- Google Play Services
On iOS devices, the app may use:
- Apple App Store services
- Apple-related frameworks required for app functionality and distribution
These third-party services may automatically collect information such as:
- Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID on Android or IDFA on iOS, if enabled)
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP
- Ad interaction data and performance metrics
- Diagnostics, crash reports, and app performance information
We do not control how these third parties use information. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies (e.g., Google Privacy Policy, Google AdMob policies, Apple Privacy Policy).
4) DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION
- Leaderboard data (username + scores) is stored on our servers.
- The anonymous player identifier (UUID) is stored locally on your device and may also be stored on our servers to maintain leaderboard integrity.
- We keep data only as long as necessary for leaderboard functionality, security, and legal compliance. We may remove inactive or old entries periodically.
5) SHARING OF INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information only:
- With service providers we use to operate the app (e.g., hosting providers)
- With advertising partners (e.g., Google AdMob) to serve and measure ads
- If required by law or to protect our rights (fraud, abuse, security)
6) CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The app is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
7) YOUR CHOICES
- You can choose a username that does not identify you personally.
- You can reset app data by reinstalling the app (this may generate a new UUID).
- Depending on your device and region, you may be able to limit ad personalization in your device settings.
8) DATA DELETION REQUESTS
If you want us to remove your leaderboard entry, contact us at support@happykeepsy.com.
Include your in-game username and approximate score / date so we can locate the entry.
9) SECURITY
We use reasonable security measures to protect stored data. However, no system is 100% secure.
10) CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted inside the app and/or on the app store listing. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
